Fall in the Vail Valley + the Events That Define the Season

August 8, 2025
Aspen Trees golden fall

Fall doesn’t rush into Vail—it eases in.

One day the trails are still warm from summer sun, and the next you’re noticing the first tips of gold in the aspens. By mid-September, the mountain feels different. Lighter. Slower.

Locals call it shoulder season, but for those who know Vail beyond the headlines, it’s actually a favorite time to be here. The pace shifts. The trails quiet. The rhythm of the valley feels more personal.

Fall isn’t a break—it’s a reset.

And these upcoming events reflect exactly that:

The interior design at THE SIXTY TWO™ Society Vail pays homage to the spirit of the mountain town’s early days , blending the nostalgic charm of its 1962 ski-town roots with an upscale, refined, and modern sensibility. Our design features timeless materials thoughtfully chosen for both comfort and elegant character. Imagine weathered copper, reclaimed antique oak paired with mesquite end-cut herringbone flooring, all complemented by Colorado buff sandstone and handmade artisan tiles. The custom backlit onyx bar facade was designed with the original Vail chairlift map embedded in hand-forged iron. Additional upscale elements include custom leather-wrapped detailing and stitching, deep Vail blues in the plaster ceiling of the private dining Society Suite, and cozy mohair seating in the Members-Only Living Room. Every finish—from patinated metals and native Colorado materials to hand-selected textiles—was crafted to evoke a sense of heritage and intention. The result is a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both storied and fresh: an authentic reflection of Vail, then and now. THE SIXTY TWO™ Society’s boutique and intimate space will also feature a slope-side fire pit, a floor-to-ceiling interior fireplace, a 2,000-bottle custom wine display, and convertible doors and windows for year-round alpine comfort. With an eight-million-dollar full remodel, no elegant detail has been spared. You’ll feel welcomed by luxurious finishes and personalized touches that reflect the elevated design aesthetic our members have come to love and expect in Vail.
