The Why Behind THE SIXTY TWO™ Society-Vail

Brad Kaemmer • June 3, 2025

I just wanted to take a quick moment to introduce you to my lifelong ambition: creating something extra special at the base of Vail MountainTHE SIXTY TWO™ Society is my legacy return to the valley and will, without question, exceed every expectation.

I was born, raised, worked, learned, and ultimately my career was shaped by my native home and those early pioneers that mentored me here in Vail.

What I learned growing up in Vail is that intention lives in the details. That warmth isn't loud—it’s omnipresent. That an intimate space can shift your state of mind, if you build it with care, love, and sincerity.

THE SIXTY TWO™ Society is a culmination of that hospitality architecture… a tribute to the quiet, yet personalized touches that can make a place unforgettable while building lasting generational traditions. Some of my favorite memories in Vail weren’t made on the mountain—they happened after the skis were off and the spirit of hospitality and camaraderie reigned supreme.

I have purposefully studied service cultures where every detail matters—where engagement is an art form and intention is everything. I’ve been fortunate enough to help shape unique restaurant spaces, lead teams, run emerging companies, and cultivate exceptional experiences in culinary locations across the country. However, nothing pulls at my heartstrings like the power of Vail.

As we continue to bring THE SIXTY TWO™ Society to life, those efforts are what help guide us and ultimately shape our cultural ethos. We’re not building a clubhouse, ski locker room, or storage facility… We are setting the table for the kind of iconic experiences that resonate with families long after the snow melts.

As a multi-dimensional, accomplished hospitality industry veteran, CEO, sommelier, and culinarian, this project has become my destiny and changed my life in a meaningful way. We are creating a place where tradition feels alive, attention to detail is paramount, and every action creates a cherished memory.

People ask me why THE SIXTY TWO™ Society? Or why now?

Truth is, it was never one big grandiose idea. It was a thousand little ones, gathered over a lifetime and stitched together over decades in the hospitality and service industry.

I believe in and cherish community, in artisanal craftsmanship, in doing things the right way, and in giving every guest a compelling reason to return.

THE SIXTY TWO™ Society isn’t just a place—it’s a reflection of all that has shaped me and, most importantly, a tribute to those who showed me what matters most. I didn’t set out to build something exclusive for exclusivity’s sake—but rather something meaningful, rooted in excellence, and something to be proud of for my family.

Not grandeur.

Not luxury for the sake of luxury.

Just something true, boutique, and personal.

Something lasting and remarkable.

Your search is over,

The interior design at THE SIXTY TWO™ Society Vail pays homage to the spirit of the mountain town’s early days , blending the nostalgic charm of its 1962 ski-town roots with an upscale, refined, and modern sensibility. Our design features timeless materials thoughtfully chosen for both comfort and elegant character. Imagine weathered copper, reclaimed antique oak paired with mesquite end-cut herringbone flooring, all complemented by Colorado buff sandstone and handmade artisan tiles. The custom backlit onyx bar facade was designed with the original Vail chairlift map embedded in hand-forged iron. Additional upscale elements include custom leather-wrapped detailing and stitching, deep Vail blues in the plaster ceiling of the private dining Society Suite, and cozy mohair seating in the Members-Only Living Room. Every finish—from patinated metals and native Colorado materials to hand-selected textiles—was crafted to evoke a sense of heritage and intention. The result is a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both storied and fresh: an authentic reflection of Vail, then and now. THE SIXTY TWO™ Society’s boutique and intimate space will also feature a slope-side fire pit, a floor-to-ceiling interior fireplace, a 2,000-bottle custom wine display, and convertible doors and windows for year-round alpine comfort. With an eight-million-dollar full remodel, no elegant detail has been spared. You’ll feel welcomed by luxurious finishes and personalized touches that reflect the elevated design aesthetic our members have come to love and expect in Vail. We invite you to explore the inspiration behind the spaces . Opening June 2026.
